Dr. David Overy is giving a seminar Tuesday, November 26 in AVC - C at 3:30 p.m., titled "From taxonomy to metabolomes: A mycologist's journey in the study of fungal pathogens." Dr. Overy is a Research Manager in the Chemistry Department at ÀÖ·¢IV and is a candidate for Adjunct and Graduate Faculty appointment in the Department of Pathology and Microbiology. All are welcome.
On December 7, Curling Funspiel will take place at the Charlottetown Curling Club. Cost is $20/person, free drink with non-perishable food donation to ÀÖ·¢IV student food bank. two 6-end games with early draw times at 9:00 am and 12:00 pm; and late draw times at 10:30 am and 1:30 pm. Lunch is also included.

The ÀÖ·¢IV community is invited to consider hosting one or more students for some family time at Christmas or during the holiday break. It can be for a dinner, an outing, a baking session, or even a drive to look at lights with a student who is spending the break away from home.

ÀÖ·¢IV Student Affairs, in partnership with the Department of Physics, is pleased to host a presentation by Canadian Space Agency Astronaut David Saint-Jacques on Thursday, November 28 at 11:30 am in the W.A. Murphy Student Centre’s McMillan Hall. Dr. Saint-Jacques will take attendees on the learning journey that led him to become a Canadian astronaut and talk about his training. He will also give an overview of Canadian Space Agency projects, and will share some insights on future opportunities for students.

Students in the University 203 class are working on a service learning project to increase awareness of student engagement at ÀÖ·¢IV. The group is collecting stories from students, staff, and faculty about their personal experiences in student engagement. Students, staff, and faculty are invited to share their experiences by completing an online form at .
