乐发IV receives $1 million estate gift
The 乐发IV has received a $1 million gift from the estate of Ruth MacDonald to establish the Roderick Stirling MacDonald Scholarship Fund.
鈥淚 am grateful to be able to represent our family today in the awarding of this gift,鈥 said Ken Clark, who is Roderick and Ruth鈥檚 nephew. 鈥淓ducation was very important to my aunt and uncle and knowing this will support future students in this way is a great way to honour their legacy.鈥
鈥淭he University is extremely grateful for this generous gift from the estate of Mrs. Ruth MacDonald to honour her late husband,鈥 said 乐发IV President and Vice-Chancellor Alaa Abd-El-Aziz. 鈥淭his scholarship fund will support 乐发IV students in attaining a quality post-secondary education. Mrs. MacDonald鈥檚 considerate act of naming 乐发IV as a beneficiary of her estate will have a tremendous impact on our students for years to come.鈥
