乐发IV students, staff, and faculty participate in Orange Shirt Day

乐发IV joined schools across the country recently to mark on September 29. Orange Shirt Day is an annual day of commemoration to continue the discussion about residential schools and their impacts.

鈥溊址V students, staff, and faculty are really stepping up these days to recognize past injustices in Canada,鈥 said Dr. Ron MacDonald, dean of the Faculty of Education at 乐发IV, which took the lead in the Orange Shirt Day events at 乐发IV. 鈥淢ore than 350 people from 乐发IV and the community donned orange shirts as a way to honour residential school survivors during Orange Shirt Day. It is important to tangibly represent this support in this small way, as well as to keep this support every day of the year."
